Mission – CAPA breaks the destructive cycle of child abuse and neglect by equipping parents, children and their caregivers with necessary skills, knowledge and values.
What is CAPA?
CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association) is a local non-profit organization, incorporated in 1981. Funding comes from fee for service for the shelter, public grants, private grants, and local grass-roots fundraising. CAPA offers many different community and school-based education Outreach Programs focused on child abuse prevention and intervention. CAPA is a United Way Agency.
